World University Rankings of Times Higher Education (THE)
The survey has been conducted for the top 5 universities in the world which would really help students and their families to decide a best university for higher studies by The Times Higher Education. They have launched a list of the best and international universities for year 2015-2016.
This global university rankings has been based on some important factors which includes :-
- Teaching by authorities (i.e. how subjects are taught to students using some ideas and principles).
- Reputation of university for research excellence.
- Capacity to spread knowledge and ideas to students i.e. Research Influence.
- International outlook (staff, students and research)
- Industry income (knowledge transfer).
In 2014-15, this survey has been taken in 41 countries which includes 400 universities and in 2015-16, its been taken in 70 different countries with 800 international universities.
As per the survey best university has been declared to American university “California Institute of Technology”. Also, in first 200 list 63 universities are itself from US. But as far as concerned European institutions have improved their performance as compare with US in previous ranking list.
